This is one of several artworks that I conditionally call – jaws. The first one was a painting which I painted 30 or so years ago. Jaws are a symbol of danger, threat, and anxiety. I am not sure why I have been drawn to this subject matter over the years. It is not like I have ever been prone to flashes of uncontrollable rage. However, this conceptual motif haunts me subconsciously for quite some time.
I am confident that new graphic technologies unlock endless possibilities for creative individuals. The visual capabilities of some contemporary 3d applications are far beyond common human comprehension. Today the sky is the limit to exercising your imagination, intelligence, and ambitions. “Everything is possible” could be a motto of present and future digital artists. I’m trying to prove it in every one of my modest creations. Never-ending combinations of renderings, lightings, and shape deformations bring you the sensation of full liberty. There are no more hours of a laborious painting routine. There is no more painful drafting. Everything is instant under the tips of your flying fingers. There is only one chilling obstacle...
