Description
This picture is an allegorical overview of a very common neurotic disorder. Insomnia is a condition when you have trouble either falling or staying asleep or are unable to get quality sleep. Insomniacs typically complain of their mind constantly racing; it is difficult for them to have mind rest even for a short period of time. For people with overactive minds it becomes even more of a problem. Insomnia can be caused by a number of reasons and is generally classified as being transient (brief and mildly affecting a person), acute (short-term, with major side-effects), and chronic (long-term and severe). We have all experienced some degree of insomnia at one point of our lives or the other, whether it was grieving over the loss of the loved one, as a result of our depressive moods or just being nervous before an important upcoming event. The severity of the symptoms depends not only on the underlying reason preceding our insomnia, but also on our mental and physical health, as well as on our personality profile.
